Using our automated and semi-automated collection vehicles to pick up recycling bins, we provide quick and efficient pick up of recyclables. Still, we are continually looking for ways to make it easier for our customers to recycle. With the introduction of bigger containers and commingled recycling, it is our hope that more people will be able to recycle on a daily basis.
Single-Stream Services
McGeoghean Waste Systems’ Single Steam Service allows our customers to put select recyclables, such as paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and tin cans in one container. The recyclable materials are then transported to a sorting facility where the materials are separated for recycling by both machine and hand.
McGeoghean Waste offers refuse and recyclable material collection programs using both toters and waste style containers. The toters are available in 32-, 68- and 95-gallon capacities, and can be picked up by semi- and fully automated lifting systems mounted directly to our collection vehicles. The 32-gallon cart can hold up to 150 pounds; the 68-gallon cart can hold up to 238 pounds; and the 95-gallon cart can hold up to 335 pounds. Features or the toters include a one-piece, water-tight molded construction with a plastic lid.
The waste style containers used for recycling are similar to the front load and rear load cans but are used for specific materials in conjunction with a solid waste container. The recycling materials disposed of in these containers include cardboard and or single stream materials.
